Terms of Service

The rules for using Nashville EDM, submitting events, managing accounts, posting in chat, and using the mobile apps.

Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Nashville EDM, including our website, mobile apps, event discovery tools, account features, event submissions, chat rooms, and related services. By using Nashville EDM, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines, which are part of these terms.

Who may use Nashville EDM

You must be at least 17 years old and able to form a binding agreement under applicable law to use Nashville EDM or hold an account. Nashville EDM lists 18+ and 21+ nightlife and includes public chat rooms with adult conversation in them. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 17, we will remove it.

If you use Nashville EDM on behalf of a promoter, venue, artist, business, or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.

Accounts and security

You are responsible for your account and for keeping login credentials secure.

  • Provide accurate account information and keep it updated.
  • Do not share your account, impersonate another person, or create accounts to evade enforcement.
  • Notify us if you believe your account was accessed without permission.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create risk for the service or community.

Your content

You may be able to submit events, artist information, venue information, media profiles, images, ticket links, descriptions, profile photos, chat messages, or other content. You retain rights you already own in your content.

By submitting content, you grant Nashville EDM a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, use, reproduce, modify, publish, display, distribute, promote, and create derivative works from that content for operating, improving, and marketing Nashville EDM.

  • You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for anything you submit.
  • We may edit, reject, remove, or reformat submitted content for accuracy, quality, safety, policy, or brand reasons.
  • Submitted event details may be displayed publicly and may be indexed by search engines.
  • Chat messages are shown to other members of the room and are not indexed by search engines, but they are not private and we may retain a copy of reported or flagged content for moderation, safety, and legal purposes after it is deleted.

Chat rooms and community features

Nashville EDM includes public chat rooms, friend connections, profiles, photo galleries, and RSVP information. These features are available to signed-in accounts only, and everything you post in a chat room is visible to every other member in that room.

  • You are responsible for what you post. Do not post anything you would not want read, quoted, screenshotted, or reported.
  • Chat rooms are public spaces, not private messaging. Nashville EDM does not offer private direct messages in chat, and you should not treat any room as confidential.
  • Chat messages are screened automatically before they post, and messages that match our rules for objectionable content are rejected and never shown to other members.
  • Event chat rooms open for shows once enough members are going, close after the show ends, and are removed a short time later. We may close, freeze, or remove any room at any time, including through an app-wide chat kill switch.
  • Nashville EDM staff and appointed moderators can remove messages, mute accounts, and ban accounts from rooms or from chat entirely.
  • Chat is provided as a convenience and may be unavailable, delayed, or discontinued. Do not rely on it for anything time-critical or safety-critical.

Meeting people from the internet at a show carries real-world risk. Nashville EDM does not verify identities, screen members for criminal history, or supervise anything that happens off the app, and we are not responsible for your interactions with other members in person.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

Nashville EDM has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. By using any community feature you agree to our Community Guidelines and agree not to post, send, or share content that is:

  • An offer, request, advertisement, or arrangement for the sale of controlled substances, in plain or coded language.
  • Harassing, bullying, threatening, or an incitement of others to attack a person.
  • Hateful or discriminatory toward a person or group based on a protected characteristic.
  • Sexually explicit, sexually harassing, or sexual content involving anyone who is or appears to be a minor.
  • Someone's private information, including address, phone number, or workplace.
  • A scam, phishing attempt, ticket fraud, spam, bot output, or unauthorized advertising.
  • Impersonating another person, artist, venue, promoter, or Nashville EDM staff.
  • Otherwise illegal, infringing, or a risk to someone's safety.

We moderate community content, we act on reports of objectionable content and abusive users, and we aim to act within 24 hours. Enforcement can include removing content, muting, banning an account from chat, and suspending or deleting the account entirely, with or without notice. Creating a new account to evade an enforcement action is itself a violation.

Every member can report content and report or block another member from inside the app, and can reach us at info@nashvilleedm.com. In a public room, blocking hides someone from you but does not remove their messages for everyone, so report anything that breaks these rules.

Tickets, venues, and third parties

Nashville EDM may link to ticketing providers, venues, promoters, artists, social platforms, maps, or other third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party websites, ticket availability, entry rules, refunds, pricing, event cancellations, venue policies, age restrictions, accessibility accommodations, or safety practices. Review each third party's terms before buying tickets or attending an event.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Nashville EDM. You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, infringing, unlawful, harmful, hateful, harassing, or abusive content.
  • Scrape, crawl, harvest, copy, or resell Nashville EDM data except where expressly permitted by us.
  • Interfere with security, rate limits, access controls, or normal operation of the service.
  • Upload malware, spam, unauthorized advertising, or code designed to disrupt the service.
  • Use Nashville EDM to violate laws, venue rules, intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or publicity rights.
  • Harass, stalk, threaten, or solicit another member, in the app or as a result of meeting them through it.
  • Evade a ban, suspension, mute, block, or other enforcement action, including by creating another account.
  • Use chat rooms to buy, sell, or arrange anything illegal, or to run commercial promotion we have not approved.

Intellectual property

Nashville EDM, including our name, logos, design, software, pages, text, graphics, and curated presentation, is owned by Nashville EDM or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you ownership of Nashville EDM or permission to use our branding except as expressly allowed by us.

Mobile app license

Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Nashville EDM mobile app on devices you own or control for personal, non-commercial use, consistent with the applicable app store rules.

Apple App Store terms

If you download the Nashville EDM iOS app from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

  • These terms are between you and Nashville EDM, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • Nashville EDM is responsible for app maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, as required by its rules. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • Nashville EDM, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection, privacy, or intellectual property claims.
  • You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app, including carrier and network terms.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce these terms against you as they relate to the iOS app.

Disclaimers

Nashville EDM is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that event information, ticket links, venue details, artist information, app availability, or other content will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Event details can change quickly, so verify critical information with the venue, promoter, artist, or ticket provider before attending. Chat rooms carry content posted by other members; we moderate it, but we do not endorse it and cannot guarantee that every objectionable message is caught.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nashville EDM and its owners, operators, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, event disruptions, ticket disputes, or venue issues arising from your use of Nashville EDM, or from your interactions with other members whether in the app or in person.

Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Nashville EDM from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your submitted content, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Termination

You may stop using Nashville EDM at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or restrict features if we believe you violated these terms, created risk, or misused the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Nashville EDM evolves. The effective date above shows when these terms were last updated. Continued use of Nashville EDM after changes become effective means you accept the updated terms.
